I have just started my website what should I do to get visitors to my site cause my site may be the best but without visitors it is worthless. You might have heard this many times before and might have shared some of your tips to increase traffic count on the site.

This is what I asked and then searched the net for answers for many hours. I am sharing some of the methods which I used with good success.

1. Have a signature link in forums that points to your site.



2. Write something great about your niche and email other bloggers to let them know – there’s a good chance they’ll link to you.



3. Leave comments on other people’s blogs and link back to your site.



4. Review a product or company – if your review is positive email the company and ask to be featured in their press section.



5. Submit a blog to a blog directory and submit you RSS feed to RSS feed directories.



6. Optimize the titles of your pages for keywords people will search for



7. Try to write something opposite to everyone else on a popular topic. Everyone will try to prove you wrong.



8. Create a freebie product to give away (ebook, software, whitepaper etc.)



9. Pass out business cards when you go to industry events in your niche.



10. Write good headlines/titles – good titles get more clicks.

I am not saying these are 100% new methods and I am the first person to try these. If you are getting traffic to your sites, you must already been using some or even all of these. I thought I might put these here in one place so that you might not have to spend much time to search these as I had to when I was starting.

Sending images to my friends and family using email has been always a problem as it takes long time to upload images to email server and then it takes time to download the images by the friends and family members.

I know it might be very basic simple thing for many bloggers but it took me some time to find out how to add videos from youtube.com, Gooogle Videos, Metacafe or Myspace videos on my wordpress blog. I found some solutions for that but the most simple one was by the installation of My Video wordpress plugin.

Here is how you can add videos to your wordpress blogs:

1. Download the My Video wordpress plugin here.

2. Unzip the file and upload it to wordpress plugin directory.

3. In wordpress, activate My Video plugin.

4. Under Options, click on My Video and you can change the video size.

Is it possible to lose 12 pounds in 2 days?

I have been working on my laptop for last five six months now and during this whole time I didn't take care of myself at all. Result a big belly and gaining about 10 pounds. I know I should have been more active physically not to put up that much weight but I did. What should I do now? Should I do some exercise to get rid of excessive weight or keep on being a lazy bum? Did I lose weight and how did I feel during the time when I was using 2-day Slimdown? Well answer is yes I did lose about 5 pounds in two days but it was not all that easy time. I did feel a bit tired and hungery occasionally but supperessed that by drinking glass of cold water. Honestly, it is very hard for me to state that if the weight loss was becuase of the 2-day Slimdown formula or cause I didn't eat for two days and had just water and water only. I wonder if I will lose weight and feel the same if I used only water for two days! I will try that as well and report it on this blog once I do that.

Few people would pay to use social networking sites

Few U.S. consumers are willing to pay a monthly fee to use social networking sites, according to Digital Media Habits II, a new survey from market research firm Parks Associates. This online survey of Internet users found 72% of social networking users would stop using a site if required to pay a $2 monthly fee. Likewise, nearly 40% would stop if a site contains too many advertisements.

These findings present a challenge to the companies competing in the social networking space. Parks Associates found 80% of broadband users ages 18-25 use these sites on a monthly basis; however, monetizing these users is proving to be difficult, with even category leaders such as MySpace struggling to turn big profits.

“Having a big base of loyal users is not enough,” said John Barrett, director of research at Parks Associates. To really succeed, he pointed out, social networking sites must consistently deliver to advertisers a desirable consumer demographic, preferably when they are about to make a purchase decision. For example, a site devoted to car buyers presents obvious advertising opportunities while sites with broad appeal are too watered down to command a premium. “Sites aren’t able to sell a hodgepodge mix of consumers for very much,” Barrett said. “It’s one size fits nobody.”

ENGLAND auctioned for $60,001

England auction was resumed today for 5 minutes from 2:00PM EST to 2:05PM EST and the highest bid was $60,001.

The identity of the new king/queen of England is not revealed yet as the winning bidder has decided to remain anonymous. Weblo will announce the winner officially after confirming details with the winner.
